WYNN is multipurpose software that includes text-to-speech capabilities and allows users to save the audio of their written text. The software allows users to personalize the speech output (changing the voice, speed of the voice, etc), and to change how text is displayed on the screen (larger/smaller font, more/less spaces between words, color of the text, etc.). Users can open many different file formats in Wynn such as Wynn’s own file system, OpenBook documents, TXT, DOC, RTF, HTM, PDF, DAISY formats, audio and image files, Bookshare files and Word Perfect. WYNN can also perform optical character recognition (OCR) which turns documents that were scanned into the computer into editable text. WYNN also has various features for writing such as word prediction capabilities.
