@Voice Aloud Reader is a text-to-speech app that reads text from other Android apps (e.g., web browser, email, any app that includes a “Share” function). @Voice also reads TXT, PDF, DOC, DOCX, RTF, HTML, EPUB, MOBI, PRC, AZW, FB2, and Open Office Documents. However, @Voice Aloud Reader does not come with its own text-to-speech voice(s). Instead, it relies on pre-installed voices (from other apps or from the operating system). During text-to-speech, the user can control the volume, speed, and pitch of the voice.
In addition to its text-to-speech features, @Voice Aloud Reader also allows the user to customize the way the text is displayed on the screen (e.g., font size, font colour, background colour, visually separating each sentence to reduce clutter).
