Browser extensions (e.g., for Chrome, Safari) provide functionalities that all students can use. Here, the question we asked was, “What are the potential benefits of browser extensions for students with disabilities, second language learners and immigrants, as well as for students without any vulnerabilities?” Browser extensions can allow students to use these as free or low-cost academic supports and assistive technologies. We found out which browser extensions can function as academic tools and adaptive aids for Canadian post-secondary students to do schoolwork.
