Talking Dictionary is a dictionary that uses text-to-speech to read the words and their definitions out loud. To read the text out loud, the software uses the SAPI voice engine. The user can easily access the definition of any word that is displayed in the Talking Dictionary window by double clicking it. In addition, for each word the user looks up, Talking Dictionary provides a list of synonyms.

Visual Thesaurus is an online thesaurus that displays information in the form of a mind map by linking different words together. The user can then access the different words’ definitions. Visual Thesaurus can also explain the link between two concepts.

WordWeb has many functions similar to those of reference tools such as dictionaries, thesauruses or synonyms dictionaries. When the user types in a word, WordWeb gives its definition(s), synonyms, and, for a certain number of words, an audio file of how the word is pronounced. WordWeb also allows the user to search for more information online.
