Read4Me is a text-to-speech app. Read4Me reads Microsoft Word, plain text, Open Office, RTF, HTML and DRM-free ePub books, or text typed or pasted in the window. Users can choose voices, rates, pitches, lengths of pauses and more. The app comes with English and French voices but additional voices can be downloaded for free. Readings can also be exported as AIF (Audiobooks) files.

ReadTheWords is a web application that allows users to convert Spanish, French or English text, files, web pages and RSS Feeds into audio files. The free version allows users to create 30 second audio files and the Silver memberhip allows for up to 1 hour audio files. Users can choose from 15 different voices as well as the speed of the text being read. After the audio file is created, it can be edited, downloaded, embedded in a website or emailed.
